The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and sinister influences growing in influence within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the DM, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the party enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
